Fly Tying Classes

Shredder Fly Fishing offers basic fly tying classes for kids and adults!

Learn how to tie flies to to mimic bugs found in all sections of the river, so you can catch fish no matter where they are feeding!

In our fly tying classes will discuss the tools and materials and knowledge needed to successfully tie your own flies.

Week 1: San Juan Worm

Week 2: Zebra Midge

Week 3: RS2

Week 4: Blue Winged Olve

Week 5: Wooly Bugger (Streamer)

Fly tying can be fun and rewarding when you get to use your own creations to catch fish.

Knowing what you need and how to get started can be difficult. We make it easy to learn the basics!

Fly Tying Class Details

*Registration includes entry into a raffle drawing to win an Orvis Encounter Rod/Reel combo (Winner must be present on the last night of class).

PRICE: $250 per person (for 5-week session)
*All tools and materials are provided

DURATION: Each fly tying class is 60 minutes long
